Okay

Obviously, the rules of Mao are different when digital.

But we are gonna play some version of it!

it’s set up like this:

Dealer gives 5 cards to every player from any standard deck / digital randomizer

Play continues like regular Mao, but dealer will inform whomever player’s turn it is what card is on the discard and in a spoiler their deck

When playing, the player will say what card they play, and they will also say anything required by the current ruleset. Upon playing a card, it exits your hand. Saying things besides this (outside of spoiler boxes) results in a penalty card from the dealer.

if a player breaks a rule, it results in a penalty

When the game is won, the winner becomes a dealer and adds a rule that they don’t tell anyone, not even the previous dealer.

Example of play:

(Deck from dealer is 7 of Hearts, 8 of Spades, 3 of Clubs, Ace of Diamonds, and  5 of Clubs. Card on top is 3 of Hearts)

Player: 7 of Hearts

Dealer: Penalty, Failure to Say “Have a Nice Day”.
