As you inspect the anchoring closer, you see that you have been connected to your fellow hostages.

Deciding that this guy should not be left free, he piled both of his ribbons over the thing's head, then reclaimed the remaining Investiture. The dirt fell on top of the man. Kreen then summoned and piled two more ribbons of earth, so he was completely buried under the ground.
