Probably the rest of Cytoverse

Depending on what he's feeling like, the next step would be Cosmere or something in a completely different genre and style. Something like The Partner by John Grisham.

You're going with John Grishham first? You could probably give him Mistborn.

Or no!

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton would be perfect!

Alright yeah maybe not John Grisham

Jeffry Archer then

Or something

Either that or Cosmere

Again, depends on how he likes Skyward.

And Sanderlanches.

Right so update

He's made no progress

Nothing

He's still on part 3

I was far more successful with some other folks in my class, like @Spahc11 who finished Skyward about 100 times faster than him, and another one who's not on the Shard but finished the Skyward series and is now reading TFE.

No

He stopped reading it 😭

He said he's going to read Steelheart (Reckoners) instead

I haven't seen him since early December though, so I don't know if he's actually started

Knowing him, probably not.

So, update!

He never picked up Skyward again, but he did pick out a random book at our school library (it's called the Land Beyond the Sea, I haven't read it)

And he likes it HLCjBvQ.gif

He's like halfway through.

He likes that but not Skyward?

You should give him some Crichton. If he like The Land Beyond the Sea, he might like Timeline.

I did not like Timeline, but Prey was absolutely my favorite.

Idk just michael crichton in general

Trust the auto-merge, because I can't edit in quotes: I would start with Jurassic Park, and then Prey if you don't mind ten thousand f-words (though you actually start to tune them out).

He did like Skyward, but then somewhere in Part 3, his interest waned, and when he figured out how to bypass the school's restrictions and play games in class instead of reading, it was over.

I will tell him about it.
