I can't read Emberdark until next year 😭

I'll give you a very tiny spoiler explanation, not plot or anything.

Emberdark

Spoiler

Anti investiture being eats positive investiture and is fine.

Forgiveness, but how does one know that the same will occur for nightblood?

The Intensifier firing at the Dakwara was using unkeyed, disruptive Investiture, with ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ alignment settings. I don’t  see how that would apply here, unless there is something else?

It not reacting can easily be a result of its unkeyed nature, or something else. If purely ambition-aligned Investiture was fired, perhaps it would have worked better.

Spoiler

All anti investiture and investiture will have a reaction, just the keyed version has a larger reaction. I think it could just change the polarity or something

Killing them after that will also have consequences. BAM style.

Then we kill them before they land.

YOU WILL NOT DEFILE OUR PLANET, VIRTUOSITY.

Spoiler

But then there are also cases wherein a human can survive holding anti-stormlight perfectly fine. And Mraize’s spren says only their stormlight-side destroyed. Iunno man.

An Evil entity would annihilate a soul, but an anti-light wouldn’t, it’s odd. So does an anti-Investiture annihilate all Investiture, or not? I wouldn’t say it’s enough to make any definite ruling beyond narrative convenience. Why can Evil entities ‘feed’ on Investiture? Whether Nightblood could do the same is an unanswered question.

How keyed is the standard human soul? Anyone with Breath would be seriously hurt with anti-Endowment, probably. Would a Allomancer get murked by anti-Preservation? Big mysteries.

How?

But is the black hole or even Nightblood the same?

Spoiler

Ain’t got any answers, unfortunately. Could be anything. The similarity of the blackhole and nightblood is entirely up to you, really. Whatever you feel would be best and most enjoyable.

Well, I'm going to say that the black hole's sentience can be killed with enough anti-Investiture, but it must be anti-Virtuosity's Investiture.

Ok wait hold on

Could Honor and Autonomy keep a seed in stasis

Neutralize one of Virtuosity’s seeds but not destroy it

So in the future technologically advanced Scadrians could use it to make anti-Virtuosity investiture

Yes. Though I think you'd need several seeds.

Couldn't think of anything else to put there and well, Whimsy is super unpredictable.

Going into this I was honestly worried about Ruin.

They're Unmade level, so that should be enough.

Yes. You'll have to go to another planet.

So, you see, because this ordinary black holes don't consume Investiture (there's a WoB), the majority of this black hole's Investiture exists outside the singularity. So, anti-Investiture could actually work. It would not kill the black hole itself, but it would lose sentience and it would just become a normal black hole.

I told you so!

Does this mean I can have endowment?

Nvm it's Devotion. Can I have them?

Bad idea to RP with yourself.

Gets difficult unless there's some third force.

You can have Endowment, if you'd like, and I/someone else can take Devotion

I want to know what's available before I decide.
