How to Kill a Shadow Dragon

Evee walked out to the other leftover room with the box in her talons. Those black scales were so unnerving! "I hope this works." 

She absorbed the half-shadow, half-light orb and watched her scales slowly bleed back to their normal color. "Thank goodness." She breathed as her colors bled back to her usual blue, green, and purple.

After a few minutes, Evee felt it was finished and experimentally changed her scale color; it functioned as normal. 

She walked to the main room where Revi was sitting. She made sure to stay off her bad arm. 

Revi looked at her. "It worked?" "Guess so." She said, stopping near him. 

Revi was watching the moon as it rose, moonlight spilling into the opening of the cave. 

Evee walked  into the moonlight and her scales bled to black and everything associated with being a shadow dragon came back in a minute or two. 

She growled softly. Steping back towards the fire, as she approached, everything changed back to normal.

"That's not what I expected." She said. "Very interesting." Muttered Revi who looked a little surprised.

She flew about ten minutes away to an old rabbit warren she'd dug out. The single-roomed cave was very small, and it was cramped for her. 

This place had been her secret refuge as a child. When things got hard, she'd escape to here. Not even Revi knew about it.

She stayed there quietly for about half an hour before flying back in silence.

The darkness was up to Divine's nose. You couldn't quite place it, but something felt off about her mouth. It was also a little less than halfway down her forearms and lower legs.
