Tinwatcher I don’t mind Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 So in WaT it is stated that highspren don’t become dead eyes, but when Kaladin kill Herlean, he drops a shard blade. Am I missing something here, dose herlean just own a deadeye shard blade?

The Skybreakers have been collecting deadeye Plate and Blades since the Recreance, so they can have Hopefuls (those that have said the first ideal, but not yet been chosen as Squire to a Master) conduct missions for the Skybreakers (theoretically to hide the fact that the Order was still operating and bonding Spren - with access to Live Plate and Blades). It is implied that most Hopefuls never progress past this point (including Helaran). Helaran's Shards were on-loan from the Skybreakers. Edited February 21, 2025 by Treamayne SPAG 5
