Wit bone thing-y

At one point in the story when we're looking from Jasnah's view, and Hoid realizes he lost a few minutes of memory, he pulls out a bone thing-y and I was wondering what that was? Near the end he mentions talking to dead dragons somehow, so I was assuming the thing-y was some sort of dragon communicator. Does anyone have more info?

@Doomslug Doomslug Doomslug That is almost certainly a Tamu Kek per Dragonsteel Prime's description and WoB numbers 16187 and 14645 confirming that the Dragonsteel Prime Tamu Kek is, indeed, still canon.

But yes, the Tamu Kek allowed (allows) communication with dragons.
