I think there might be a nod to a Shakespearean idiom: “the better part of valor is discretion.” Or as we more commonly say today, “Discretion is the better part of valor.” Do you think Brandon’s enjoying a bit of wordplay here and seeding some future Cosmere conflict at the same time? 1
