El and the Sho Del

So I just started reading Dragonsteel Prime…

and on just the first or second page…

There are a whole lot of similarities between El and the Lord of the War.

Immediately, the perspective character notes that the armor on the humanoid Lord of the War may have been skin, or it may have been organic.

Parshendi carapace is organic, and is what they use for armor.

El has metal - theorized to be Dragonsteel by some (*cough* I dunno including me) [by others it has been said to be aluminum] - inlaid to his armor.

There seems to be maybe some inspiration, like the Shattered plains stuff.
