Newbie651 Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 I’m loving my first experience with anything Sanderson; currently I’m ¼ into Mistborn 1 and have already ordered WoA and HoA. I especially LOVE the appendices! The Ars Arcanum table and Allomancy reference… and the maps! I’m in nerdy heaven. I do have a question I need some help with: is there anywhere I could find a jpeg or pdf (or any version) of the Ars Arcanum table and Allomancy reference that’s in the back of Mistborn 1? I found maps and artwork on brandonsanderson.com, but not the Allomancy reference appendix that’s included in the book. My eyesight isn’t great and the print in my copy is very small and keeps smudging. I downloaded and printed the maps and that’s been helpful, but I got the mass market paperbound (basically printed on newspaper and I won’t make that mistake again) and my Ars Arcanum appendix is so trashed now that it wouldn’t work to photocopy or take a pic to enlarge. Thanks for any help, and thanks for letting me join your fansite! P.S. I should mention that there is a beautiful Table of Allomantic Metals on brandonsanderson.com, but the resolution is too low for me to read the small print well (plus, there was a lot more info in the original Ars Arcanum appendix).

What Resolution are you looking for? The Full Table on both Sanderson's Website and the Coppermind (which also has Art Pages) is 1440x1152 (but it also has spoilers for Well of Ascension (WoA), Hero of Ages (HoA) and more). For my personal eBook, I recreated the table from The Fallen Empire (TFE) (and WoA, HoA) because the original graphic does have very poor resolution. Does this help: Spoiler We can probably help get the other resources at an increased resolution (or even a larger version of this, if needed). Also, Minor Spoiler: Spoiler If you were unaware, the Ars Arcanum for each book is an in-world document - so it represents how the characters in the story understand the Magic at the time of the Story. They may not always be correct in their assumptions or understanding. This was hinted to Fans in this very trilogy, because of how this table changes over the next two books. Hope that helps Edited November 21, 2024 by Treamayne SPAG/Clarity 3
