Post Count Off?

So, I'm new here but it doesn't seem like the number of posts next to my profile matches the amount I post. It ticks up only every several posts. I'm not sure if this how it supposed to work or what, or if it's a site feature.

all posts in the Forum Games and Random Stuff forum do not increase post count. This includes TLPW, TLT, BftS, etc.
