"It's fine," She said offhandedly.

The dwarvish girl finally came back with a bundle of arrows, and dropped it on her counter with the other things Nera had asked for.

Nera gave her a nod, and paid quickly, emptying most of her personal funds from wallet to do so. She gathered the stuff in her arms, and made for the door.

"To melt it all down, we'd have to find someone willing to do that who won't tattle--Do you have any black market connections?"

"I... Yes. A few. Don't think they'll be too happy to see me, but they'll do it for a cut of profits."

Nera seemed surprised to hear that. "Well . . . that doesn't seem like a horrible option."

Eublech shrugged. "Maybe not."

"It'll take some convincing to get Lusha to go along with it, she's one of those rule-follower types . . . Maybe I'll bribe her with the arrows . . ." Still thinking, she gathered the supplies she'd payed for and left the way stop.

She was still sitting by the horses.

"Smart. Bribery always works well."

"Back me up, okay?" Nera said with a smile at Eublech as she made her way over to the wagon. It was about mid morning, and the traffic on the road was picking up a little.

"So, Lusha, Eublech and I were talking about what our plans should be once we get to Morduno," she said.

"Well, we don't really know who to meet up with now that the Master and Lady have bailed on us, and even if we do figure out who to rendezvous with they might not believe what happened so . . . we were considering less conventional options."

If Dint were awake, he would have loudly protested.

Eublech nodded. He wasn't always very eloquent but he'd try his best.

"We all of this . . . cargo on our hands that we really shouldn't have, and it makes travelling a lot slower, so I thought we could turn it over to people who know how to handle it."

Nera glanced at him as she spoke. Why was he nodding his head so much?

Maybe she should have just asked him to keep quiet.

"It's really the most logical course of action."

“I feel I should remind you that if we do that, we’ll get some very powerful people on our tail.”

"Ah, but we thought of that! Eublech says he knows some people who might be able to help us cover our tracks--they won't know it was us, they'll just assume the bandits took everything."

She looked skeptically at her.

"It's perfect! And we'll get a little gold for our time too, y'know that if we just went straight to them they'd blame us for what happened and not pay us."
