"We put someone in the bag and see what happens. One of my old D&D parties exploited extradimensional spaces so much; we'd all go in a bag of holding, then the monk would wall run us past any obstacles."

"No! You remember what happened with the map! What if we can't get you back? What if you die?"

“If we fall off that cliff, we die for sure. What happened to the map?”

“The map disappeared when it got put in the bag, but then it reappeared! I’m sure I’ll be fine” CrazyBoy said confidently

"Um... Considering that random stuff we think about seems to appear in these bags, theoretically it could mean that there is tons of stuff in the bag, but only the things we need appear. If so, would the person not fall into a complete mess of random, and/or dangerous objects?"

"I... I still think it's a bad idea."

"Uhh I'm not so sure about that... if we tried that, let's use a non-human living being first..."

"Do we have any non-human living beings with us?"

"I mean, I don't think so, but we could probably catch a bug or something."

"Maybe." SF sighs and looks at the rockfall. "If we could get the rope hooked on something up on the top, we could try to swing across. It would be dangerous, but probably no less than climbing. I can try to tie some kind of noose so if we throw it and wrap it around a rock it'll tie tight. It might take a few tries, but it's an option."

"We could do both," Glass said as she pulled another rope out of her backpack. "I'm all for extra safety."

"Here, can I try to tie it the right way? I kinda forget how, but maybe I can remember? I think I can. Might take a few tries."

"Uh, sure." She handed him the rope.

Elan crouches down and picks up an ant. "This work for a bug?"

"Yeah. We'd probably want something a little more noticeable and easy to find, though."

Spark clapped her hands together in some grass. She held them up to her eye and peeked between them. “Grasshopper!”

The classroom smelled so freaking weird...

"We didn't get any aphids, though. Grasshoppers, crickets, dragonflies, a few butterflies and moths... There was one kid who had a mess of hornets, and if you had something he didn't he would trade with you."

“Wait are aphids not the name for the larger section of bugs including grasshoppers?” He said confused

"If I remember correctly, aphids are the tiny bugs that ladybugs eat."

Grasshoppers belong to the subfamily Caelifera

"We don't know what'll happen. That's why we're finding non-human living things to test it with first, before something happens to one of us trying something."

Those could have been locusts. There's lot of precedent for those eating growing food

Spark shrugged. "Can I see your bag?"
