It looked like a mix between a small break room and a storage closet, with one table and a few benches in the middle, and packed crates of supplies lining the walls. "Marnie won't mind if we talk in here," August said as he sat on one of the benches, "What's up?"

"Well, there are a lot of reasons--I was both very young and very angry, which did not help. But mostly I was desperate. There wasn't much else too do, or at least it seemed that way at the time."
