I think it was a tongue in cheek joke based on the fact that a character from each universe are fighting each other. I mean...it makes sense in a twisted kind of way....how else would Kelsier get to the WoT world if NOT for Shadesmar

Yeah, this was written based on the premise that the two somehow managed to meet to fight each other. I mean, they've broken the fourth wall here. More of a fun "what if" project than a serious story.
