Tulir he/him
I am not very artistic, and I had an idea that I wanted someone to draw. If someone could draw a dragon about human sized, midnight blue scales, black runes on the scales, pointed ears, and neon green eyes and post it hear I would greatly appreciate it.
Windrunner he/him
Alright! I noticed that this request went unanswered so I figured I might as well put my Fine Arts degree to use, right? Spent enough time and money on it. Anyway, I realized that I didn't have the best program for making digital drawings anymore, so I went up and bought a copy of Adobe Illustrator CS6, just to make this for you. Don't worry about the price, I was happy to do it. This is the work of a couple months, so I'm a little nervous about the reaction to it. Hopefully you like it! It's a bit big though, so I'll stick it in spoilers. [ I did however take some artistic license with your original description. The black runes didn't show up so well on the midnight blue scales. So I switched them to another color. Hopefully it looks brighter and more powerful. Also the ears didn't work so well pointy, so I changed them to more floppy. I drew inspiration on their design from my basset hounds's ears. Also I forgot to draw a fourth leg. However this is a tough magical dragon so it's probably been in a few good fights, right? So I figure it must have lost it there. I actually like it better without its fourth leg. I had so much fun with this that I actually bought a screen capture program (Camistasia, like Brandon uses) to shoot a making-of video for you. I'll stick this in spoiler tags too, so people won't see the work in progress before the finished product. Don't forget to watch it! Make sure you show me where you upload it. I release all rights to this image, so feel free to make it your avatar image or even your cover photo on Facebook! I am totally kidding I never went to college for this or bought any programs or whatever. The only true statement is that I spent months on it, since I started it a while ago and then forgot for a few months. Hope this drawing was worth the wait and that I haven't offended you at all. I just thought it would be a fun reversal of expectations.
