I am constantly reading. If I don't have a book/kindle in my hands then it might be misinterperated as a sign of the apocolypse. However, one of the major problems I run into is finding new fiction to read. I hereby dedicate this thread to broadening the knowledge of all of my fellow fantasy addicts and providing us with new material to read.

I'll start by listing one of my favorite fantasy novels (which is probably fairly popular but still worth citing) as a suggestion to my commrades in literature. It's a book by the name of Feed by Mira Grant. It's about a world that's learned to thrive after a massive zombie apocolypse. While there are quite a few altercations with said zombies, they aren't the focus of the story. It follows the fraternal beother/sister pair Shawn and Georgia Mason and their colleauge Georgette "Buffy" Meissoner as they follow a presidential candidate's campaign. There's plenty of intrigue as we follow their escapades and for any fan of sci-fi/fantasy, is well worth your time to pick this up and give it a read.

If you have any suggestions, please for the love of god, share them. I (if not the other subscribers of this site) will owe you a debt of gratitude for any story you can share. Thanks everyone, and don't forget your reading ;)

I could suggest thousands of books for you, but what else have you read? What else falls into your literary tastes? You gave us one book you love, but what else? Feed is an excellent book, but it only covers one genre of fantasy.

I need more data!

Meq, I can't remember the author at the moment but the name is fairly unique so a google search should bring up the right one.

If you need an extreme high density doorstop sized set of books with loads and loads of characters then I recommend the Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson. Be careful though, most people can't get past the first book and it doesn't really take off until the third book.

Folks, I have an incredible book for you to read. If you. Love pop culture (especially 80's era pop culture) this novel is a must read. It's called Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I don't want to give anything away, so if you want more info, look it up on Amazon. I'll tell you this tho. I just finished reading it and my first instinct afterward was to start it again.

So much yes on this! In fact, I did restart it the moment I finished. The book is fantastic, and so much fun. Ask in the chatroom, I was raving about it a few weeks ago.

There is anothe forum on here specifically talking about Other Books and such. Might want to check that one out.

Numerous comments about different books there.

I believe I have some of my favorite books listed in my signature. For people on mobile: everything by Diana Wynne Jones or Jonathan Stroud. There are still books of both this authors I didn't read, but those I did are great. If you're looking for a more adult content, I'd recommend from DWJ's books: a Tough Guide to Fantasyland, Dark Lord of Derkholm or Deep Secret.

If you don't care about age, I'm going to keep recommending, stuff like His Dark Materials, Animorphs (if you like books about how war is hell), the Underlined Chronicles by Susan Collins (it's underrated, IMO), Seven Wonders and the Last Unicorn. Seriously, read the Last Unicorn. It's amazing, and I see it as a great telling of a mythical story, with well-placed and not too often song breaks.

Well, those are my recommendations for now. Hope someone here will like them.
