Ok, in the Coppermind article "Steel Inquisitor" it says: " To create an Inquisitor, a metal spike is driven through the body of the appropriate Misting and into the correct spot of the Inquisitor-to-be. This imparts to them various "always on" sort of powers, usually (but not always) related to the function the misting served." Emphasis mine. Where is this stated? I am an avid Mistborn fan but I have never seen anything that confirms this.

well if you look at this page it gives a small overview of what each spike can do. I think the precise power you gain from the spike also depends on where it's placed, and maybe where it was spiked through.

Well eventually, all this stuff will include citations and references, but I personally dont know where that info came from.

The bolded part you mentioned is not something I am familiar with. It's poorly phrased at best. Technically, the "power" you would get from Hemalurgy would be the base Allomantic ability, and certainly you don't need to "turn on" your Hemalurgy to get Allomancy; it's just always on. I assume the "usually (but not always) related to the function the misting served" could refer to the fact that you can have human attributes, which aren't related to Allomancy.

It's an awful sentence, really.
