I was not born on that day, but…

In the area that I live, COVID first started to really be something that should be worried about on Friday the 13th. And then everything shut down on the ides of march. Coincidence…?

Well, my old Latin teacher had a tradition. Once a month on Friday, we would gather up words with Latin roots, put them on the whiteboard, and guess what they meant. There were two rules: nothing you can touch, and no phobias. Friday the 13th, though, was special. It was phobia day. We would put all of the weirdest phobias we could find up on the whiteboard.
