Veer spits it out, but is left with painful cuts on his mouth. “Alright.” he says, talking strangely due to the cuts. “Let’s up the difficulty a bit.” He motions to a random bystander to toss a second ball in. “Is that good with you?” Then, he serves the spike ball, aiming away from Gemini.

She buried her face in his shoulder. She was calm, but still mentally shaken. There were things about Jar Man that she didn't appreciate. But he was always there for her when she needed him.
