"I don't think it's possible to go through life without pain. It's part of the deal. But with time, things fade and heal." That last sentence also seemed to be to herself. "If you were to cut yourself with a knife, that's the injury. If salt gets in it, it reminds you of the injury. It, in and of itself. doesn't hurt you."
