Rue turned to her. As much as she disliked the child, she was grateful for the distraction. “Luna.”

"They don't have to. I promise, not all of them end in disaster, and nothing about you or the people you meet makes that a requirement."

Rue shrugged coldly. A tiny piece of her wanted to believe him, wanted to just give in, but she was so tired. What was the point? “Believe as you wish, TAAron.”

TAAron began to walk after her, but seemed to hesitate. He began to glow with his odd white light.

He suddenly cried out, and fell to the ground. Red and violet light began to swirl around him.

"D-don't know." The light was more energetic than in normally seemed, emerging and swirling around him violently, crackling.

"Agh... hopefully." The energy seemed to slow, then settle. When TAAron spoke again, his voice was not his own.
