"It's not something to be ashamed of... But you do need help."

He still didn’t say anything, tears streaming from his face.

"Please? If not for your own sake, then for hers. You both seem to care deeply about each other."

“This is for her. It’s better if I’m gone,” he whispered.

Rex came to, back in her hospital bed, alone but for the nurse. She tried to scramble out of bed. "Where's Daniel!"

@The Aspiring Archivist

The nurse gently pushed her back down. "He's safe."

"No, it's not."

“It is.”

"It isn't. She cares about you, and wants you to be with her."

"He's just talking to the doctor."

"I suppose I'll go see if I can fetch him. Please stay here, and take deep breaths."

Just now, Lightweaver2 said:

“She’s wrong.”

"It's not something one can be right or wrong about. It's just a choice."

The nurse walked up to them, and addressed Rex. "She wants to see you very badly."

"I disagree, but either way it's not something you can very well change." The doctor took him from the guard and led him to Rex.

@Just-A-Stick

Daniel bowed his head, ashamed.

You should let him escape…

He finally looked up at her with tear filled eyes. Hated flared in then, and he yanked himself away from the doctor, ducking past the security guards.
