Rex raised her tear-stained face. "Baby steps, remember? Sometimes that means two steps forward, one step back. You won't hurt me, and, if you do, then It'll be worth the pain. do you hear me? You are worth the pain. I love you, and nothing could ever change that!"

He pulled her closer to him. “I…I slit my own throat in my vision.” Tears sprang from his eyes as he said this.

The man from before entered. He was closely followed by another man, immediately recognizable as Julie's father. The second man looked very tense.
