Feloxia she/her Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) My aunt gave me used copies of numbers 4-9 of the Wheel of Time Series for Christmas. I just started reading it this year, and I was super happy to get more of the books. I started reading through A Crown of Swords and came across something terrible--some were pages missing! D: It was depressing that the book was damaged, especially since it meant I had to wait until I went to a bookstore and get a new copy until I could finish the book. I didn't want to throw the damaged book away, and so I decided to make some Wheel of Time themed paper beads! The rest are under the spoiler. This is the first time I have made these, so they aren't great, but I'm pretty happy on how they turned out. I'm planning on making some bookmarks with these, and maybe some jewelry. KChan she/her Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 These are really fantastic! Great idea!
Moru she/her Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 These are really awesome I was thinking about doing that with an old textbook... I should see if I can find some fun words in it to make a sentence necklace. XD It's like... fridge magnet poetry... with beads!
KChan she/her Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Exactly! It almost makes me wonder if I have any damaged books lying around to do this with.
Feloxia she/her Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 You should try it, it's fun I'm planning on making character-themed bookmarks/jewelry with them. I'm excited to see how they turn out.
KChan she/her Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I want to! I just need some damaged books or old magazines first. I'm not cutting up a perfectly good book. XD
