You mean, aside from the ability to create life, move planets in a solar system, flatten and raise mountain ranges? I would say that they definitely have the ability to affect the Physical Realm. I don't know if the Physical affects them per se, but it definitely has an impact on the way magics form based on the planet and the Shard in combination.

I've seen no evidence that would give me reason to doubt the veracity of Shallan's claims.
