Mistborn Birthright E3 Appearance?

So E3 is going to be coming up in a few days and I am wondering if we will see an update on Mistborn Birthright there? Maybe even a teaser? I think we will at least get an update, Little Orbit is back to work on it I believe and they are still aiming for that summer 2015 release so a trailer or update right now would be the perfect time to start promoting the game. Does anyone else think we will hear something about it at this E3? They have been pretty quiet about it since they announced they were working on it months ago.

I checked this yesterday. They announced the games they will be showing at E3. Mistborn, unfortunately, was not one of them. They could still just randomly throw out a trailer or something but it's not one of the games they'll focus on.

Well remember that article about that tiny tiny gameplay booth at the E3 2012 that showed Birthright? If they were able to show it then, they can at least show it again but I think there must be something. Maybe not a trailer though I think if they intend to release it next year, they need trailers now.

I find it a very bad sign that if I Google "mistborn birthright e3" one of the top results is, in fact, this very topic.

I mean, that's super flattering, but not very helpful for Mistborn: Birthright news.

Haha I literally just searched Birthright seconds ago and the top result was this forum so I click wanting to see if there are any replies and I see your reply about trying to search Birthright which is the exact thing that happened to me.

I suspect we will not hear anything from Little Orbit. This message implies that Little Orbit is not working on it, from the Mistborn Birthright Facebook page:

Hi Mistborn fans...

First, we would like to apologize for the lack of updates on Birthright.

Here is a little background:

About a year and half ago we had just started full production on the game when half of the development studio working on Birthright got sold to another major publisher. Losing that many staff forced us to put the project on hold, but our expectation at the time was to immediately move to another developer and resume production.

We've now spent over a year trying to put all the pieces back together, so that we could give fans an meaningful update.

While there still isn't a lot of official detail that can be revealed at this time, here is what we can say:

- We are still very much committed to getting the game made, but it's important that we choose the right developer and deliver a game we can all be proud of

- We're staying with Brandon Sanderson's original storyline that he created just for the game back in 2012

- Due to the addition of new console platforms, we've made the decision to start over from scratch to support Xbox One, PS4, X360, PS3, and PC

- A new developer has been selected, but contracts are still in negotiation

- We're now targeting a Fall 2015 release date

We will definitely post more information as the project moves forward.

Half the development studio got sold elsewhere. Since on Little Orbit's site there is absolutely no mention of Mistborn: Birthright anymore, I'm going to take that to mean the non-Little Orbit portion that was sold off is going under a different name or something. (I could be investigating this wrong though)

Also guys, note: "we've made the decision to start over from scratch"

That means scratch. So however long it took to develop the game, copy and paste from when that message was posted, and it would be a good indication. *cries*

Wonder how they're able to make the funds for that, especially selling to such a niche audience.

I'm pretty sure that if you were looking at the weight of work to do, if the setting and writing was done, you wouldn't want to redo it.

It's the coding that is the hard part...
