theSurgeOfPhysics Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 Kaladin's Ideals get more and more personal as he progresses 1st Ideal— Need help remembering who else was there 2nd ideal— Select few of Bridge 4 hear him say this 3rd Ideal— Says only in presence of Moash, Graves, and Elhokar. 4th Ideal— Says only in (supposed) presence of himself, then realizes Dalinar also heard (he says he hears a familiar voice, we know in Ch. 111 of Row that it was Dalinar who accepted the words). I mention this because it shows the progression in his oaths and how they become more and more personal to him, so he is really the only one who needs to hear them, to convince himself by Ideal 4 that he is not to blame for losing many he loved. Thoughts?
