SzethTheHonorblade Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 I wont your view what is more important in a book the beginning or the end?
Robin Sedai she/her Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 End, definitely. If I'm not impressed by the beginning, I might still go on to enjoy the book, and end happy. If I start out impressed but end up let down, it will just leave a (metaphorical) bad taste in my mouth.
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 Ending. I like seeing how events resolve, and how much courage the author has.
Going_North_cal Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 Ending. A good example is The Way Of Kings, for me. It opened kinda slow for me, but then got really good.
HSuperLee Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 I feel like this is a real "what is the most important step a man can take" question. 1
AerionBFII he/him Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 It’s honestly hard to say. The beginning will determine if I’ll continue while the ending determines if I’ll get the sequel. 1
Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 both. This is quite the abstract question. I think both and neither. the journey is the destination after all.
