Sandra she/her Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 (edited) So, I started Cytonic about 2 weeks ago and somehow don't progress as fast as I thought I would. It's a bit boring for me, this constant jumping from fragment to fragment, searching for the Path and trivial conversation between MBot, Spensa and Chet. Can someone cheer me up and tell me it gets better (I'm at about 25% on my Kindle)... Edited January 24, 2022 by Sandra
Robin Sedai she/her Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 I would say yes (I loved Cytonic) but I also love trivial conversation, so I think our tastes may differ
Leuthie Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 If you think the start of the book is a slog, you'll find most of the book a slog. The problem is that we're left with a single character that is narratively cut off from everything she's done before and thrust into a new place. The revelations come in drips and drabs until the last 15% of the book, in true Sanderson/Sanderlanche style. The ending is (mostly) worth the slog.
