France Signings - October 2019

Brandon recently let it slip on Twitter that he'll be in France in October, for a signing in Paris and for an appearance at the Utopiales festival (which Google tells me runs from October 31st through November 3rd).

There hasn't been posted on the website, so I don't know any details. But are there any French Sharders lurking around who could record one or more of these events?

Schedule:

Thursday, October 31st

Visualiser le désastre
Time: 15:30

Signing
Time: 16:30–17:30
Location: Bookshop of the Festival (near Grand Scène)

Friday, November 1st

I want to believe
Time: 16:00

Signing
Time: 17:00–18:00
Location: Bookshop of the Festival (near Grand Scène)

Les codes de création du space opera
Time: 20:30

Saturday, November 2nd

Rencontre avec Brandon Sanderson
Time: 16:00

Time: 17:00–18:00
Location: Bookshop of the Festival (near Grand Scène)

Sunday, November 3rd

Les sciences humaines du futur
Time: 13:00
sciences humaines?
Avec: Brandon Sanderson, Éric Dubois, Olivier Paquet
Modération: Michel Féret

I'm going to Paris signing tuesday. How do you get a question answered in the book? Do you write it down in the book or on a piece of paper, or just ask him to write it down?

Either will work. I'd recommend writing it down for a couple of reasons. One, less of a chance of Brandon misunderstanding your question. Two, we'll have the exact wording if there's no recording; written-down answers tend to be short and cryptic, and it's nice to have the exact question that was asked.

Thanks! Would you recommend writing it in the book or on a seperate piece of paper? Basically, what's the most convenient for Brandon

I don't think it makes a difference. If you write it in the book, you should make sure it's on the same page that he's gonna be signing, so he doesn't have to turn pages.

I did not know how to do it, I had to catch my metro back, so I only got mine, which I messed up by making it too broad.

Paraphrased
"Did Hoid lose anything or anyone else because of the Shattering?"

"Yes, but a  lot  happened because of the Shattering."
