well we know that this desolation is different from all the others because of Jasnah's reaction in the epilogue. also we can't really figure out Darkness's motives until we know why the KR killed their spren. It just isn't possible for a mass of people who exemplify Ideals like the KR did to ALL betray oaths, that they have obviously followed the better part of their lives, at the same time. Think how hard it would be to kill your best friend. How hard it would be for Kal to kill Syl, intentionally and permanently... there is way more here than we know.

Another question, is all investitures interchangeable? could stormlight fuel a mistborn, or could an Elantrian do Aondor away from Elantris? If two could be interchangeable maybe they all can, the only difference being how the powers manifest.

well if it is possible to compound breath then it may be possible to compound stormlight then re-infuse a gemstone. this would be useful especially now with Stormlight being short supply

he said that the sensation of stormlight was familiar. that he had breathed it on the Battle field... just guessing. another possibility is that he was totally bonded to the blade, he broke that bond very easy. Maybe because Taln was still alive...

that is interesting, that makes me wonder if stormlight can be compounded too....

I don't see how that would work, unless there is a feruchemical way to store them after he burned it...if he even could burn it. I honestly dont think breath works like that. not that I am an expert or anything.

I actually see Adolin as becoming a Skybreaker. One they seem to have an innate ability to see when someone is guilty (from the Words of Radiance reference about Skybreakers one pre-chapter text that I can't find now.) Adolin did call both Sadis and Amaram "Eels" without knowing why. felt that it was just to lock himself up until Kalidin was released, etc. To Adolin it seems that justice is more important than almost anything.

Does anyone know why he stole the moonscepter? It seems like it must give some power or be important in some way... is this something that was discussed somewhere else?

I think you may be right, but I would assume that Brandon would mention it even if the people of Roshar dismissed it. some small comment like "it seemed the room grew brighter when Wit entered. Some trick of the light surely... but still he had that effect."

I am very grateful to all of you who have been helping me catch up! I had another thought just a few min ago, do you think that breath can be used to awaken a lightweaving? I have no clue how this could be used but somehow they clicked in my head as a pair power. Almost like allomancy and feruchemy, maybe the two could be used to create a more lifelike illusion...? thoughts?

Ah, I am kinda new to the forums, and you guys have a lot of info that isn't in the books. Or to rephrase that, the info is pretty hidden in the books. I didn't know that about bronze, that makes a mistborn's Investiture far more important than I realized... especially if they are in a world where no one knows about their powers.

Maybe, I don't think we have enough information on how bronze interacts with other powers yet.

but at the very least we now have an idea of how many breaths he is likely to hold. A min of 200... more than I thought he had.

hmm, If bronze works on other powers.... interesting thought. I would imagine that since bronze doesn't allow you to sense when someone is using feruchemy then it wouldn't sense other powers.

Ok, forgive me if this has already been mentioned. I know we already assume that Hoid has Breath but did anyone else catch, when he talked to Kaladin in prison, he said that tuning became much easier now that he has "Perfect pitch" wasn't that the second heightening? meaning he has > 200 Breaths... second question, how does he keep said breaths from warping the colors around himself noticeably? I sort of remember there was a method for that, but I can't remember what it was. Also I am wondering if the powder Shallan saw Hoid put in his drink (one of the flashbacks) was metal shavings... I would guess he started soothing her and her father.

I don't believe the color was ever mentioned, since the pits where always kept pitch dark...

um, can anyone tell me who in Way of Kings prime was Vasher? I just finished my read through of WoK on monday before WoR released and totally missed him...

You may be right about the shards being dead spren, I have been thinking the same thing. One smallish distinction, I think that when a KR gets to a point in their oaths the spren become shards, plate and blade, as a natural progression of the bond. Plate makes sense as the spren would want to protect their bond mate. As for the blade, if they were fighting Odium spren that would make sense to... The light fading from the plate and blades in Dalinar's vision of the day of recreance would have been the spren dying.

Ok, forgive me if I misspell names, I have the audible edition of WoR. -Spoilers- Is Zile Vasher? I haven't finished the book I just got to the part where Kal asked to learn how to fight Shards. Zile said he expected a voice in his head... Nightblood? At first I thought he was Demoux but that doesn't seem to fit now.
