Woooo I've been waiting for my questions to be discussed. Felt has definitely been under the radar, but he struck my interest after Oathbringer. I remember Brandon saying that people within house Venture being involved in the interplanetary trade through the Pits, so Felt was the connection I wanted to ask about. I got the impression that he may have been a Worldhopper before Era 1, but not for very long. I think that him being "a little older" than most people would point to him being enhanced in some way, otherwise there would be no need to say he's older. I just don't think he's centuries old. As you guys pointed out, this probably isn't due to Scadrian magic. After Era 1 Felt knew where he could get connections, maybe Seventeenth Shard or others.
Also, about Shard Smiting, I feel like it wasn't really a Shard using something like a boulder or lightning bolt or that kind of thing to kill people, but literally just the person dropping dead. What was interesting to me was that it didn't seem to be inhibited by Shardic Intent (hush, Eric) but that really any Shard could smite people, barring other Shards or where they are. I would have figured Odium would have an easier time smiting people than Endowment.

Argent trying to go disguised to cons, undetected by Brandon, is exactly how I imagine Hoid trying to go to Nalthis, undetected by Edgli.

"That's an interesting thing that we know nothing about, still." --every Sanderfan ever
On the vein of Ishar's craziness.... Odium treats Dalinar as though he can speak for the human race as a Bondsmith. Perhaps Ishar (as the patron of the Bondsmith order) saw himself as somehow able to rewrite the way the Oathpact works (even though that's somewhat ridiculous). And by Oathpact, I mean more than just the Hearlds and Braize, but the whole of the Desolations and the agreement between Honor and Odium.
Re Diagramists: I don't like the idea that he made the Diagram strictly from brain power. I really like the idea that Cultivation herself had a hand in creating the Diagram, and is using Taravangian as a pawn against Odium. If Odium begins trusting in the Diagram, Cultivation could have put in some flaw to catch and trap him.

Can someone provide a link to the Reddit page? I'm not good at navigating Reddit.
Brandon's comments are a bit further down, but this link is the entire thread.

Lots of Brandon there... Except on Sunday
#neverforget
@Chaos You can give @Overlord Jebus crap for pronouncing "Adonalisum" out of order when you stop saying Pajti instead of Patji
This was super entertaining to listen to, you guys. I basically agree on all the Patji stuff, that was the way I thought of it too.
So are you saying Autonomy has Shards of her own? Such as Trell, Patji and others? I do tend to think there is a directing 'nexus' left if you want to call it that. But it would be very cool if that's the case.

Okay!
There is no instance of intent ever being capitalized referring to a Shard. The one time Brandon himself wrote it was in a Hero of Ages annotation which lowercase.
The only time Intent capital-I has been written was said in Oathbringer and it did not refer to a Shard's intent. I don't know when people thought it was good to capitalize this word but I certainly didn't in the Principle of Intent and haven't since. To be perfectly honest, it is actively incorrect to call it Intent as capital-I Intent doesn't refer to a Shard's name at all.
As long as you're okay with being totally wrong with the canonical usage, then go for it, but it is incorrect
But if we capitalize it, it's an easy way to distinguish "Shardic Intent" meaning the mandate, intent, drive of what the Shard generally wants to do/the name of the Shard, and the "intended actions of a Shard". Just a lot easier to say & less time to type, and less confusing for a reader.
Shardpools also aren't written in the books, but we still use that as a specific type of Perpendicularity.
Until we have a canonical word for it from Brandon, this is the easiest way to distinguish, and even if it's not "correct", it's widely accepted and easily interpreted.

I think the broad spectrum of the Intent (yes, I capitalize it, fite me) is too big to perfectly sum up in one word. Really any name given by a person, Vessel, or anything like that is only an interpretation of that complex and massive Intent. The Vessel then gets to choose how to act on that Intent based on what they perceive it to be, but they can never do anything to actually change it.

Adonalsium is going to be the Cosmere's Benedryl Cutiebrunch.
Adolinism
Alodizzium
Aldonaisium (Jebus)
Adonihilism
I could go on...
Edit: More thoughts:
Pretty sure Odium had help on Sel, from Autonomy, that he didn't have when going up against Honor and Cultivation.
On Parshendi becoming Radiants, if Preservation couldn't block Allomancy from someone, and Magics are more natural, how could Honor have prevented the Parshendi from Bonding? Do you think it's something to do with Intent? I could more see Odium or Cultivation interfering if that's the case.
Where was the confirmation of White Sand Prose being rewritten??
I wonder if Elantrians are immune to the Dor as they can use it? Though maybe not, as Raoden was almost destroyed by it before using it properly.
"Gavellininor" --lol
Now do you think Hoid is personally afraid of Nightblood being able to kill him, or is he afraid of Nightblood and what he is as important to the Cosmere?
@Overlord Jebus, Seattle Comic-Con is March 1-4, not May. I'll be there on the Sunday, hope to see you there!
Looking forward to a Nightblood podcast. Totally okay with next week's being more WoBs, js.

Agreed! Except instead of dying he gets redeemed and comes back to the light and cries to kaladin and asks for forgiveness... so i guess I actually disagree?

And THEN he dies.

I found this on Howard Lyon's Facebook Page

Looks like the full picture is both the front and back end papers, and is titled "One Less Threat".

Oh, as I'm listening through this, I did ask Brandon about the pronunciation of "Sja-anat" and we... were all wrong! Brandon uses "zha-anat" as in that "zh" is the sort of French j, in "je." It's the sound found in English in the middle of the word "pleasure."
So, take that as you will!
That's how they pronounced it in the audiobook, IIRC, though perhaps with a bit more of an 's' sound preceding the 'zh' sound.
My reactions to your reactions: (OB Spoilers)
Spoiler-
Feather, I can only imagine your reactions to the scene where Jasnah is considering killing Renarin (and your theory being proven, of course).

On Odium's Intent: I think that it's much the same as with Honor's: Honor is much more encompassing that simply 'Oaths', likewise Odium is more encompassing that 'hate'. I do think he was stretching the truth when saying he's all about Passion, but it's definitely an important part of hatred.

The Passions being the original religion of the Tranquiline Halls is a fascinating idea.

Interestingly enough, that Kaladin vs Jasnah scene made the shipping even stronger. I have no idea why…

Totally didn’t catch the Sigzil/Hoid sotry! Nice catch.

Do you guys think Jezrien “died” for real, or is “trapped” a la the Unmade? Hemalurgy is an interesting thought too.

Viv hating shellfish hahaha right!

I kinda still don’t want to see Adolin become a Radiant. I totally see him fully reviving Maya, and then she comes back as a normal spren. There could be a heart-breaking scene where Adolin says goodbye to her.

I TOTALLY SAID THE ALEFTKAR PUN JUST BEFORE YOU DID.
Don't know why they're bolded, and it won't let me fix it.

Should I wait to finish the book to listen to this, or am I fine having read all of Part Two and about half of Part 3?

Crackpot theory: What if the Mystery project's title is literally "Mystery Project"? A meta-Sandersonian twist!

Any time Brandon announces he is working on new projects it just makes my day...The man is a Machine. And i think one possibility for the mystery project is the final Era 2 Mistborn. He can write than in about 3 months..right?!
Someone asked him on a facebook post if we could have more information and he said he didn't want to say anything in case he couldn't end up doing it. As The Lost Metal is already set to be done in the next year or two I doubt that's what he's referring to.

Oh my gosh, Jasnah is wearing a glove. And wielding a sword with her left hand. Better cover up before the ardents find out how naughty you've been, Jasnah!
In all seriousness, as much as I enjoy the stormlight covers, they aren't made to be perfectly accurate. I doubt we can glean information from Jasnah's 'floating'. Most likely, it's just exaggerated to make it look dramatic and awesome. Which it does.
But yeah, Jasnah fighting a Thunderclast?! If anything could make me more excited for Oathbringer, that would be it.

Can we all take a moment to consider the implications of Kelsier still being around? He is now functionally immortal. For all we know, he will be in the final Mistborn Trilogy. (And since Hoid is supposed to be the protagonist...does that mean Kell will be the big bad?)

I'd missed these. Glad you kept on going
Totally can't wait for Secret History.0 -
THIS IS A DISCIPLINARY HUG. DO NOT DERIVE ENJOYMENT FROM IT. lol
He is now certain that the beggar was more than he appeared. OH IF ONLY YOU KNEW, WAX.
It's ok, Feather. I thought she was Jasnah at first. Then Vathi. Then Khriss.

Shardcast: Heralds and Ashyn!? - Skyward Tour Words of Brandon #3
in Shardcast

That's what I would think too. But the example Brandon used was that Endowment would smite people, and she's all about giving. I agree though, Preservation would be even less likely to do so. I guess, in Brandon's mind, it just has more to do with where the Shards are and if they have another Shard opposing their actions. I think Preservation could smite someone in the right circumstance, if it would prevent them destroying the world, for example.
