Heya! I've read all non graphic novel cosmere content short of the last three mistborn books, though I'm in the process of reading those now. I picked up Sanderson's works sometime in 2023 if I'm not mistaken and read the original mistborn trilogy over a few days. Once I started way of kings in January last year it was only a couple of months before I'd torn through everything else on offer (short of the wax and Wayne series which I'm currently book clubbing with some friends.)

• "Underpaid Great House guards missing after robbery" does not sell papers
• "Mystery train robbery" sells papers

Subverting that mystery with conjecture means your readers switch to a different broadsheet next issue - "no evidence of casualties" is a fact they can print while hyping the mystery, though.

This seems the most in line with reality while still assuming it's not just an oversight. Plenty of examples of equivalent journalism even in today's news cycle.
