Thanks for the advice, even if some of it doesn’t make sense right now. Yeah, there’s a lot of spoilers here, mostly on accident. The disagreement is fair, I can get why you wouldn’t like some of my views. As for the memes thread, I may already be stuck. Also, what do you mean by S.E.? I don’t know of anything that could be an acronym for off the top of my head.

I’d definitely be a Kandra, I’ve been mentally planning out how I’d do my skeleton for best utility, including aesthetic spikes. But sadly I’m not good enough at drawing to show y’all. But like, the amount of crazy stuff you could do as one, especially if you start interacting with other cosmere magic systems. Like, especially with an aetherbond.

My understanding is the powers all come together to form a resonance, and so you only ever have one. In this case, I believe what would happen is that the resonance would change. The reason we don’t really see resonance in mistborn is because it’s balancing so many different powers, some of which are opposites, if that makes sense. I did a quick search on arcanum and the copper mind, and we don’t know much about them. What I said is really just my thoughts on it. We do know that resonances are kind of like becoming a savant, you get them by using two or more powers a lot. So it’s possible that if Wax became an elsecaller, if he just didn’t use the elsecalling abilities, his resonance wouldn’t change. All this said, I’m not an expert on this, I’m sure there are people who know more about this than me, so don’t take what I say as fact.

This is my attempt, and though this was a lot harder than I thought it’d be, and this is still stormlight adjacent. It’s a bit long though. This is absolutely hilarious, I laughed so hard reading through this. Keep it up everyone, this is amazing. However, I see only Mistborn and Stormlight Characters, what about the rest of the cosmere cast?

One of the theories is that Duraluminum is actually copper’s linked metal, not aluminum, and so aluminum isn’t actually an allomantic metal, it’s all just the placebo effect of people thinking it should do something. They second guess themselves into losing their metal reserves If you want a better explanation, I can do that. There’s some stuff with how I think aluminum reacts to burning.

So, this is one of the few things I’m creative with, making magic decks that may or may not work because I’m not willing to spend the money to get the cards to playtest them. What’s come out of that is my Kaladin/Syl/Nahel bond magic deck. It’s not finished as of writing this, but the ideas are still there. Gisela both protects you and your board, while massively amplifying the damage to your opponents, which fits Kaladin. I use Soulbond and bestow to simulate the nahel bond/Syl. The game plan of the deck also sort of fits as well, we do damage to everyone, but Kaladin can weather through it, he can stand up in the face of darkness and pain and come out on top. I think if you want ethical spikes, the Malwesh’s medallions(assuming they work the way I think they do) may be your best bet. But a medallion isn’t as cool as a spike. If had to get a spike, assuming putting it there wouldn’t drastically alter my spirited, having one in my cheekbones could look so amazing. Sadly, I don’t believe it’s one of the bind points

So how did he know Wit had a dawnshard 10 days later then? Did he somehow gain knowledge that let him know? I don’t believe we have anything on him suddenly realizing how to detect dawnshards or anything.

Kind of, I think the idea of it is cool, and aesthetically it could be really intimidating, but the practice of it, not really, I prefer not to kill people for my powers

My confusion is that it seems to give Rysn that ability, so it’s likely that others can as well I don’t believe this is the case because Odium would have known he had it when he was searching his investiture, and so the last chapters of WoT wouldn’t make sense then

So, this post won’t make sense, but this is how my thought process went, hopefully this goes well. Why did Wit lose his perfect pitch when odium destroyed his breaths? The danwshard grants enough investiture to give him that effect, regardless of breath. He had the dawnshard during the 10th day, and we know where wit was the entire time between then and when he lost his breaths. He first was with after the encounter, he went straight to Urithiru and helped Dalinar, and was covering for him later on. There was no time for him to have gained a dawn shard, meaning he had to have had it during his encounter with odium, so he shouldn’t have lost his perfect pitch. The only other situation would be if he gave the dawnshard to someone else for the encounter? And if so, who? Sigzil only knew about it at the end of WaT, so like, what happened there? Thank you for the explanation, you most likely got most of it right, though I’m not a physics person either. There might be a problem with that for the objects moving towards each other, they have to ignore all other sources of gravity, or at least have the same pull during the entire time. They would have to ignore the planets gravitational pull for that to work, which would launch them out of the planet and into space. The only way for that to work there would be if they both objects retained their gravitational pull to the planet, and if that pull was the same, which it’s not. The magnetic field has different strengths at different areas, and we’re all different distances from it. honestly, your theory has less holes than mine does, though there are some bits where I’m still confused

Oh, sorry, I prefer white, with spirals of blue and red cumulating in gems at the joints for investiture storage Thats more of a description than a color, but it’s what I’d prefer. I mean, the spiked eyes is a cool look, and we’re getting new ones with Moash, so I’d thought I’d get on the train.

Gravity is an interesting explanation, but I don’t think it would work under the same principles as Lashings. Most of the time(I think) the object being pushed/pulled on still remains under the influence of normal gravity. Also, I’m not sure how gravity would explain how if the object you’re pushing on weighs more than you, you go in the opposite direction. I actually have thought that the instability, how they vary in strength at certain points explained “flaring” your metals, as you could make that extra strong area towards the thing you’re pushing on. And it therefore takes more metal as it needs constant attention to make sure the strong side is always there. As for the fact that it works in all metals, It might be that they usually affect those electro magnetic fields, but that with non-metals they normally can’t sense them, but the way metals interact with investiture makes affecting metal possible. I honestly didn’t know that magnets could only attract metals, not push them away. Maybe it just slipped my mind. I don’t really have any thoughts for this other than that maybe, since there is something that attracts metal, there’s something that pushes it away, it would fit with the opposites theme of scadrial. I don’t really know though. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the tip, I just went and updated that post. it sounds like it affects magnetic fields, but may not be magnetic itself, which allows it to ignore other magnetic sources and other consequences of being a magnet. So it sounds like my theory is wrong-based on the knowledge we have.
