One interesting thing that eludes me, since I've been on winter break, I've been more open about my identity, which means that @Choirnull knows...
i actually don't know what you're talking about lol

"Okay........"
"Um"
*awkward silence*
"How was everyone's day?"
Ujyo shrugs. "Eh. It was so-so."

"What's your magic?"
"Oh hi Ujyo. Thanks for the cup."
Ujyo shoots a glare at the wall with such malice it's practically tangible. Then, in a cheerful tone that does not at all match the glare he'd been giving the wall a moment earlier, he says. "Yeah, no problem."

"Um, what do you mean?"
Before Riaale can respond, Ujyo again walks through the wall and looks.. some variety of surprised.
"Nope, I'm leaving again." he declares before turning around and promptly slamming into the wall.
"Ow." There is a sense of mild frustration, followed by the distinct impression that they all must stay together.

"Look, if you're not comfortable, don't tell me. But if you are, things just got way bigger then just us and we need every asset to get through this."
[ @Ookla the Kansan lol are you just watching this? @Ookla the Terror can I have my cup back please? ]
[yeah here ya go ^^]
There is a momentary, uncomfortable pause. Then the teacup Ujyo accidentally
stoletook falls out of the ceiling, empty and unbroken. It seems the fall basically ignored the possibility of it breaking after falling from such a height.0 -

Riaale snaps out of it shakes her head. "what..."
"No wait stop you! Give me my cup back!"
[cackles in kleptomaniac]
Ujyo is already gone and does not hear Riaale. It does not occur to him that he probably should've given the teacup back until he's already around the corner.

"Hmm, not that long ag-"
The usual chaos of Gendoria City’s magical aura suddenly turns stagnant. For a moment, everyone nearby simply stops. They don't freeze in time; they just forget who they are for a heartbeat, their features slackening as a wave of pure, unadulterated egolessness washes over the area. It’s an uncomfortable, profound absence of self that leaves people clutching their heads a second later, trying to remember their names, their pronouns, their very essence. This place has become a focal point of the Shards agony. This isn't the Shard forcing actions, but rather their core concept of self-annihilation overwhelming the local reality. A voice, simultaneously vast and terrifyingly lonely, echoes inside their awareness—a raw, emotional broadcast of the Shard's current struggle: "This... this is the Void. The truth of Transcendence... The horror is the loss. The complete erasure of 'I'." The Shard's voice gains a sudden, desperate clarity, latching onto a single thought that burns brighter than any other it can perceive: "But there is one who lives within the nothingness. One who is an empty canvas, yet remains a singular 'she'—unclaimed by identity, yet not destroyed by the lack of it." A focused image is pressed into their collective consciousness: a deceptively plain woman, blending perfectly into the crowd, observing everything with an intense curiosity, but wearing no mask the Shard can recognize. Just quiet observance. "She hides in the lack of a label, in the quiet spaces of Moc where she claims no identity at all. A scholar, a data collector... they call her Cricket in other places. Find her. Her understanding of the 'empty vessel' might be the only way to anchor me before I erase everything."

[ooh nice]
Ujyo blinks, snapping himself out of the strange vision-like trance. "What in the name of Order.." He trails off, shocked beyond comprehension.
He stands up, staring off into space before muttering something about leaving.
And then he walks through the wall, still holding the teacup.

[..does Ujyo see this too or just that Kaijsa suddenly cut herself off]

(in response to the below) Ujyo just sighs. "Well, how long ago did it happen?"

"The fire that was burning the very large residential building."
Ujyo shakes his head.
"Haven't heard of it yet."

Just now, Ookla the Tree said:
"Um. I think that's all of us, sorry. But... were you at the fire?"
Ujyo looks confused. "What fire?"
That's a no, then.

Riaale kneels and presses a teacup into Ujyo's hand. (Matcha, if anyone was wondering. Lemon undercurrents)
"You can tell us. We're here."
Ujyo sighs. "This one," he says, pointing at Kaijsa, "scared the Winds out of me. Several times, actually." He shoots a glare at her. "Thanks for that, by the way." he says sarcastically.

A lemony scented blue breeze surrounds the four.
A sense of peace starts permeating the air
Riaale stands up and walks to the kettle and starts heating water.
"What happened?"
Ujyo hesitates. Should he tell them, or... no. If one of them already knew his name, surely they knew about his.. predicament, too.
"Well, I was running from some people and saw this building. It didn't occur to me that this was a hospital, so I went in and.. y'know.." He made some gestures at the people around him.

Tharan seems to just appear from nowhere. "Why?"
Ujyo jumps. "How- wha- how many of you people are there in this hellhole?" he yelps, leaning away from the person who just appeared.

"Anything we can do?"
Ujyo just buries his face in his hands and groans. "I can't believe this."

"You seem frightened," Kaijsa whispered, her voice barely audible and shaking slightly as Ujyo backed away from the door. She wrapped her arms around herself, a nervous, hesitant smile briefly touching her lips before vanishing. "My name is... Kaijsa," she introduced herself, taking a small, tentative step further into the room, her gaze fixed uncertainly on the floor. "As for how I know your name... oh, um, well... I was sort of... hoping you'd come by?" She immediately regretted speaking and shrank back a little, not pressing him, just watching him with wide, anxious eyes, feeling the tension radiating from him. "There's no need to leave," Kaijsa continued, her tone a soft plea. "I think you and I might... might have a lot to talk about." She gestured vaguely toward the empty space near the room's center with a timid hand. "Perhaps you'd care for some tea?" she offered politely, her eyes fluttering up to meet his for just a second before darting away again, observing his reaction with fragile hope.
Ujyo just stares, processing. It feels like his brain is trying to swim through molasses. And it hurts.
He leans against the wall and sits down, looking mildly traumatized and/or in shock.
"This day has been so weird."

Just now, Ookla the Cutest said:
"Easy there," she says, lowering the illusion as Ujyo quickly shuts the door again, her voice calm and smooth, reaching him through the wood. "You seem stressed, Ujyo. A need for solitude, perhaps?" She projects her thoughts outwards, knowing he can likely hear her agitation even through his apologies. "It's alright, no harm done. But for future reference, you might want to project a little less 'fight-or-flight' energy when opening doors if you want people to believe you're not planning to trip them." A slight, knowing smile plays on her lips. "If you need a quiet space, I can make one unoccupied for you. Just ask next time."
Ujyo backs away from the door, terrified. What the hell is happening here? I- I need to leave.
Swallowing down his fear, he chokes out some words. "Who-who are you? How do you know my name?"

"What?"
[this is not going the way i thought it would]
Ujyo does not respond. He ducks into another room, only to discover there is another person in that room, too. He quickly shuts the door again, apologizing profusely.
WHY ARE THERE PEOPLE EVERYWHERE?? CAN'T THERE BE JUST ONE EMPTY ROOM??

1 minute ago, Ookla the Cutest said:
"Wait, don't go."
Ujyo shot the person a glance before ducking out of the room and closing the door. He barely gave himself enough to time to sigh in relief before turning and starting down the hallway at a jogging pace.
"Quickly now, before someone catches on and tries to throw me in jail," he muttered to himself.

Just now, Ookla the Cutest said:
"Um, no I don't."
"ACK. Where did you come from?"
Ujyo stands up from his fallen position and quickly glances around himself, clearly in a panic. "I- um- I have to go." He hurriedly ducks his head and starts heading for the door.

[actually no lol i'm a criminal on the run with teleportation powers]
[oo idea! hold on]
Ujyo quickly ducks under a nearby awning and pulls down his hood further, trying to avoid attention. He glances up at the hospital[where everyone is rn] and, without making the connection that he should probably not go in the hospital, appears to sink into the ground before falling out of the ceiling in one of the rooms that just so happens to have someone inside.
