    The dwarf stuttered. “Because you need a bigger one! I’m flame resistant!” @The Great Wyver ”Maybe one of your evil friends did it.” @IcedOutPenguin He screams. “SEE?!”

    The claws scratch against your side. It’s painful, but your jumpsuit absorbs most of it. The beast was diverted for now. You vaguely remember that the crystal your sword is made of should be able to harm the Hasrathan. It backhands you, but then kicks at @Kansas Stormcursed.

    “SEE THEY WANT TO EAT ME THEYRE ALL EVIL” The dwarf waves the small twig around defensively. “AND YOU GUYS ARE SO SCARY! YOU PUT A CURSE ON ME! I HAVE TO FOLLOW YALL!” The dwarf, which was a quarter of the size of a child, looked up at the man and squeaked. “Don’t act like you don’t know - you people and your fire birds are going to wait until you have enough fuel to cook me! Then eat me!” The dwarf flinches back, but then rushes the magebreaker with a small twig, weakly striking him. It was more than kind of pitiful. “You guys are gonna eat me and kill me and I’m going to die and I won’t be able to move and I’m going to DIE and it’ll be terrible!”

    The man laughed, the sound joyless. “Does that mean anything though? All the Grey Folk are absent in our plight. Except, as you say, the Still Wind.”

    “WHY SHOULD I BELIEVE YOU?” ”Youre the unnatural one!” ”But the castle was so far away from where I started!”

    “I never will! Never! But I have no choice but to follow you, because of the dark magic you used to make me do so.” He nodded. “That beak is to be the beak that will eat me?”

    The man shook his head. “Coincidence. There’s no way that he could have survived the accident, unless he crawled through the snow back to town. Along with him, mind you, went our only connection to society. That car was the only safe mode of travel.”

    “I’m not mean! You’ve done nothing but PLOT behind your wings since I arrived.” ”AND I STILL DONT BELIEVE YOU EVEN IF IM TALKING TO A SCARY BIRD. You can probably change into a gaint like that person (@Ancient Elantrian) and EAT ME.”

    “No, you’ll see!” She sticks out her tongue and darts away. The old man cringes slightly. “I’m ever so sorry. Ever since we told her about her brother, she’s been obsessed… why… why can’t she see?” The last part was almost to himself, a morose frustration.

    “I don’t believe you! And anyways, that scary fire bird probably can.” He shook his head. Pointing to himself, “Scared.” Pointing to the bird, “Scary.”

    “So if he’s warm, he can uncoldify us! The adults don’t like to tell me, but we’re running out of coal.”

    The dwarf nods. “You are scary! So scary!” @The Great Wyver He narrowed his eyes, and charged the sphere.

    She nodded. “That’s important. Very important. If you aren’t warm, you’ll DIE.”

    The dwarf calmed down, puffing in exertion. “I don’t trust you.” “The bird prepares trickery behind its wings!”

    The little dwarf turned to them, uttering a high pitched war cry. “Die! Foul monsters! You can’t eat me!”

    A rock on the ground rolls away to reveal a person a quarter the regular size. ”ATTACK!” The person held a small twig in the air, rushing towards Eos. “Take that! And that!” It didn’t do much.

    Anna’s face refused to dim. ”So he sent you!” A guard was situated on the other side of the wagon, and there were 4 other prisoners with them. The guard looked at them. “You’re awake. We’re taking you for questioning - currently, we approach a secure facility.”
