  6. The woman eyed him. “Take the Stone Voice. Please.” She was still holding out the stone.
  7. “…No. Aelorin, the God of Balance, the God of Separation, the Father of Planets - he has many names. He was known, before he ascended to godhood, to Rend the world, separating the warring deities Adari and Keylana.”
  8. @Argenti A group of Four approached the town square from the General district, stepping up to a stand. One of them, a woman wearing blue, stepped up to the podium. “It has come to our attention that a certain group of cult-like figures have started to disrupt the peace, calling themselves the Heralds of Immortality. One, found unconscious in a nearby warehouse, had been luring victims in and killing them permanently. These people are very dangerous - do not approach them. The woman next to Jakob - the one talking about the Rending - gasped. “I can’t believe anyone would do anything like that.”
  9. He grins, and she noticed the glow was starting to fade.
  10. “They give you a better sight. Substitutes for the direct divine guidance which Aelorin used to impart.”
  11. They emerge in a different station, amid a small farming village. “What is the Deep? No, we seek truth through the Rending.”
  12. He stuck out his tongue.
  13. He went silent, but it was clear he was thinking intensely as he took his hand out of his pocket.
  14. They looked to him, and started grinning. “Have you come to find truth?” One of them pressed a stone into his hand.
  15. “Poorly. But better than if we were on Earth. Or Titan.”
  16. There was a small prick of heat on the back of her neck.
  17. A few people were peering over maps in the center of the square.
  18. He tensed, but nodded.
  19. He clutched his special equipment tighter in his jacket pocket. But it was very discreet.
  20. “You are a baby.”
  21. He nodded. “Interesting. Do they suspect aggression on our part?”
