Elan breathes shakily, swallowing. "Let's go check on the kids."

    "It's... it's fine." The Queen laughed, a short, soft laugh. "TAAron, I would never waste a talent, a skill like yours. I'm not asking you to join my children. I want you to work with me, not for me. Please."

    He stared down the tunnel, smiling sadly and giving her hand a little squeeze.

    "An underground civilization. Formerly. It takes up the underside of three floating islands in the middle of the void. But my being here... it changed things. It was a..." He took a deep breath, "...a massacre." "Maybe not. I know that you're going to do something great. I can feel it. So I'm going to ask you something:" The Queen put her hand out towards him, "Join me."

    "These people, they are free." The Queen says, leaning forwards, "From the grip of society, the feelings of pain, hunger, and free from themselves. I merely guide them towards this freedom like a shepherd guides his sheep." She sits back slowly. "And if you can't see that on your own, you can be made to."

    "Understandable." The Queen nods. She gently clasps her hands together, resting them on the table. "So, you're here to... kill me, as I understand it?"
