    She opened her mouth, about to say no. But when she looked at the utter bliss he was in, she found herself unable to. And when she started to sing, it was with one of the most beautiful voices Pic had ever heard.

    Aventine did not commune with her "other forms" in this sleep, which was welcomed. She did, however see glimpses into some of their lives. Their ages seemed to vary, some being around 10, others being in their teens, others in their twenties. Some were studious, quiet and reserved, while still others were more blunt and forceful, willing to fight. Each of them had a role to fill in her life, and each seemed to know what that role was. While they were different in a few ways, there were a few things she felt they had in common. They all had similar morals - mostly the same as her own, unsurprisingly - and they were all, to some degree, stubborn. Names flashed through her mind as well. Eliane. Serena. Akarui. Tena. Sass. Onnami. Amethyst. Selene. Juliana. Allaysia. Lillan. She couldn't attach them to faces - not yet, at least. She'd have trouble remembering the list as it was. It definitely piqued her interest, though.

    Aventine grinned as she crossed the hallway into her own room. ~~~~~~~~~ A few minutes later, the door closed, she sat in a bath getting clean. The dirt (and the blood caked on her face) stained the water an ugly maroon. She had to draw more water once to keep bathing herself. End it. She finished quickly and drained the water only a minute or two after hearing the voice. She changed into clean clothes and got into her bed. It had been a while since she'd heard that voice. She'd nearly given into it many times. It wasn't that she wanted to die - she just didn't want to live. But for the first time in recent memory, she had a reason not to listen.
