  1. He smiled and the girl rubbed her head in his neck. The sun was getting low in the sky.
  2. “Head on in.” “I’m so sorry to hear that. Well, you’re cleared by me. Come back tomorrow and I’ll have her meet you herself.” Unfortunately, there were not records of many gods left. Only those endorsed by the king.
  3. “First time? I’ll give you a discount; two coins for lodging and a meal.” “Of course. So, I admit I was surprised to see your name in the mix.”
  4. “Oh, please stand. It’s just us.” Merchants tried to get her attention. The beggar went into the hostel, giving the owner a few coins and heading in.
  5. “Very well, very well. And I must thank you for earlier today. That situation could easily have gotten out of hand.” From closer, it actually didn’t seem too bad. A lot of peddlers and small shops. A hostel was there as well, its levels rising above the rest of the alley.
  6. Ah ok! That makes sense
  7. “Ah, Taylor! So good to see you. How are you?” He went down an alley. It seemed a bit seedy, but still okay.
  8. Newna would probably only do Destiny because she considers herself ugly and she’s really smart
  9. After about an hour, the beggar checked the can. He sighed, picked it up, and started to move.
  10. “Of course, my friend. Come back anytime.”
  11. “I’d planned on selling it for twenty, but I’ll make a special offer and give it to you for ten.” The king sat on his throne, a girl around fifteen curled into his side.
  12. A messenger eventually came for him. “That’s for the reader to decide, I think. After all, every story, fiction or not, is based on truth.” The journal didn’t feel old or delicate. The ink was dry and inexpensive. It didn’t seem fabricated; this had been someone’s journal.
  13. Around twenty others were called. He was there for nearly an hour. Several of the potential suitors left looking disappointed. “I have relics which tell stories none will believe! Look at this journal, telling tales of times under benevolent rulers!”
  14. “You there! You look in need of entertainment!” A salesman beckoned him to his cart.
  15. The man smirked. “Very well then.” A lot of them had things like clothes and food for cheap prices. One booth had an old and blind Clear. Some shops had potions promising to cure any ailment. Posters advertising different magic services for cheap prices coated a blank wall.
  16. One narrow alley contained several “well-worn” shops. Some children ran, playing a game like tag and laughing. One person cleaned a wall under their boss’s supervision. Near the middle was a hostel that towered above the alley. “Ah, they said that to all of us.”
  17. The same noble came over. “Bit of a fast interview, eh? Not go so well for you?”
  18. The scribe nodded and finished writing. “I’ll present to the king. Wait back in the waiting area until a messenger sends for you.”
  19. She nodded and wrote this down. “Is there anything else you would like to declare?”
  20. While they were distracted she slipped out.
  21. She wrote this down. “What influenced you to attempt suitorship?”
  22. “What are you even judging her for?” she muttered.
  23. The scribe sat across from him. “Tell me about yourself.”
