  1. Variance did so, although his arms hardly qualified.
  2. TAAron's form seemed to give off wisps of white light.
  3. Variance sighed. This wasn't going too well.
  4. TAAron was unconscious, but his breathing was steady.
  5. This Spanish assignment is awful. Let me give you a rough translation of the instructions:

Write a reflection about a hobby of yours. Include:
How it has affected your emotional wellbeing, confidence, and personal values.
How friends you've gotten through it have influenced you.
How it has impacted your identity.

Really? You think there's a singular hobby I've had that has profoundly influenced my life and identity and has somehow gotten me new friends? I had the same friends for like eight years, what do you want from me?

I hate assignments like that - I always feel so self-conscious about people reading things about my personal life :/

is your teacher approachable? Could you talk to them?

Not at near midnight on the night it's due.

This feels poorly worded. I would be completely fine with it if that list was framed as just some suggestions for how to approach the question, but that seems to be just what it's telling me to write. Also, this has to be handwritten for who knows why.

Anyway, I'm just gonna go for something that is almost kind of what it's asking for. Something that I've done with my friends, and has certainly had some sort of impact on me. That's right, it's Minecraft.

I'll just try not to think about the fact that my teacher is actually going to read this.

      I'm done my homework. Yippee

  6. TAAron continued to watch from his bubble as time sped past. How much longer could he spend here, fighting? It had only been a few seconds for him, maybe less, but it felt like hours and hours. Then, something changed. The tension flowed from him as he stopped fighting. There was nothing left to fight. He drew in a deep, shaky breath... Then let himself plummet to the earth.
  7. Variance pursed his lips and remained silent.
  8. Variance looked the officer in the eyes, which was a bit unnerving, and waited for some sort of direction. @Channelknight Fadran
  9. "Let's just... wait." @Channelknight Fadran
  10. "So, we're just going along with everything for now?"
  11. "Not a ghost. I'm more than that, I should hope. And you aren't doomed either, Ayia."
  12. "That doesn't mean we're hopeless." Variance's tone remained steady and controlled.
  13. "Let's just see what they decide to do with us, and work from there."
