there's this guy i know who keeps making fun of me every time i see him.

he calls me stupid and naive. he asks me all kinds of personal questions that i'm not comfortable answering. he diagnoses me with all these issues he thinks i have. and he makes really really uncomfortable sexual comments about me and my writing.

he comes over to my house uninvited. he makes fun of my roommate while she's in the room. he tells me i have bad study habits and that i'm a terrible cook. he told me i need to start using pimple patches. he tells me that i don't notice details.

when i'm studying in public, he'll come over and start chatting it up, even if i tell him i'm busy.

he doesn't respect my boundaries. i asked him to at least text me before he comes over and he totally brushed me off. he doesn't listen when i tell him that i'm not stupid and that i'm not obsessed with controlling people. he doesn't listen when i tell him i'm busy. he doesn't believe me when i say i'm busy. he mocks me when i say that i do, in fact, notice details sometimes. that i'm not as oblivious as he implies that i am. i ask him not to look at my work, he does anyway.

he's joking, but the jokes aren't funny. i laugh because i don't want to hurt his feelings. i smile and tell him it's alright, just text me beforehand.

and the worst part is i can tell that most of it doesn't come from a bad place. he's trying to be funny, but it's backfiring horribly. it just makes me uncomfortable.
