He basically confirmed it before we even started. He said that we should be careful to refer to characters by their SA names and specifically mentioned Thaidakar.
I saw that everyone's comments referring to it were being deleted but I didn't make the connection until he said that haha

So I don't have everything organized enough to make a full post but my major takeaways from the stream (spoilers for RoW & other cosmere books below):
1. Nightblood is not a Dawnshard.
2. The man with the red Aviar that was killed was a Feruchemist keeping watch over Dalinar.
3. Broken Radiant oaths before the Recreance didn't result in deadeyes.
4. Renarin has a tentative crush on Rlain (thanks to Adam for confirming!)
5. Historically there's never been more than three Bondsmiths at one time. He didn't say anything about the Bondsmiths being specifically bonded to the Stormfather, Nightwatcher, and Sibling, so there could've been other sentient spren that bonded (Ba-Ado-Mishram...maybe?).
6. There's something significant about how Tien's wooden horse and Wit's flute got to the shop at the end of RoW, but that isn't necessarily connected to the owner of said shop.
and... (MB spoilers)
SpoilerKelsier has basically been confirmed as Thaidakar. I'm paraphrasing what Brandon said but it was something along the lines of "we've seen the lengths [Thaidakar] has gone to achieve his goals in past books." He also said that Thaidakar & Mraize are somewhat neutral when it comes to the ethics of harvesting easily transportable Investiture.
I'm so happy that he did this! This was my first Sanderson livestream & it was fun to see everyone's questions.

The livestream is still going on, and the WOBs are probably a few days incoming before I can quote it properly.
But Brandon mentions that "we have seen the lengths Thaidakar would go to to achieve his goals in other books."
Does anyone who still doesn't believe it's Kelsier have anything to say about this?
I wasn't fully paying attention to the livestream until he said this and I dropped my phone

Hey there! What's your favorite cosmere book/who's your favorite character? Glad you signed up!

Me too! I just can't read it in my head as Mo-Ash.

Yeah, unfortunately, it's too similar to Mistborn and it's unlikely BS will make SA too similar with how it defeats it' antagonist.
Maybe he'll reverse the process, like splitting one shard up into two vs. combining two shards into one.

So, the first arch of the Archive ends much as it began with the Assassin Szeth killing a Kholin King.
Wouldn't it be crazy if the last words of SA 1-5 were something along the lines of "Szeth-son-son Vallano, Truthless of Shinovar, wore white on the day he killed a king"? The entire first five books would be a ketek.

I think people overlook that spren were present on Roshar since it was created by Adonalsium. The much simpler explanation is that Ba-Ado-Mishram was originally created as the spren of nahel bonds (bonds between spren and physical creatures), and later turned into an Unmade by Odium.
Just an idea, but could she have maybe been a Bondsmith spren at one point? Or is that exclusive to The Stormfather, Nightwalker, and Sibling?

You got me thinking...
What if the Recreance was done as a stop-gap measure in preparation for Tanavast's death? By renouncing their oaths, the Knights and their spren rendered a large portion of Honor's Investiture inert, so that when Tanavast died, it didn't become dangerous like Ambition, Devotion, and Dominion?
Cultivation could've warned them; that, plus the terrible effects of BAM's imprisonment together was what convinced the Radiants and their spren to rejoice their oaths.
That's a really good idea! If it isn't in the Spiritual Realm, I wonder where all that inert Investiture is.

I love this theory! I can't wait to see if this plays out in the back 5.

I thought it was interesting in RoW that Venli referred to Nomon as "Honor's Moon". Since Roshar has three moons, I figured that each corresponds to a different Shard in the system. So, Salas probably connects to Odium and Mishim to Cultivation. I double-checked on the Coppermind and found this:
QuoteRoshar is the second planet from its sun[8]. It has several notable heavenly bodies, including three moons. The first and smallest moon is violet Salas. The middle moon is Nomon, which is a bright, pale blue. The final moon is Mishim, which is smaller than Nomon and green. The Shin refer to the moons as the Three Sisters, and call each moon by its order, with Salas being the First Sister, Nomon the Second Sister and Mishim the Third Sister, while in Natanatan, Nomon is considered to be male.[124] All three moons rise and fall in the same order every night and have highly unstable orbits, suggesting they were placed artificially.
The colors of the moons all correspond to the colors of Investiture associated with the Shards as well (Voidlight, Stormlight, and Lifelight).
My theory is that, as Investiture comes in three states of matter, the Shards' godmetals (solid) can be found on the moons. However, the Coppermind says that a lot of Investiture concentrated in one location tends to create a Perpendicularity, and I haven't found anything in the books that points to a moon being one. But is it possible to reach them through Shadesmar? Additionally, since the moons appear to be placed artificially, they could've been formed at the time that Honor, Cultivation, and Odium settled in the system.
Sorry if someone's already thought of this!

Raboniel is a scholar, and looking for new forms of investiture in a search for a way to end the war. For all she knows, metalminds might be it. If nothing else, she is Cosmere aware, and she might simply be interested in experimenting with something new. Honestly, I can't think of anything too specific, just throwing darts.
I'll have to do some thinking before I can come up with a full theory.
That'd be super interesting if that's the case.

I think it might be Feruchemical rings. Mraize had just killed what sounds like a Terrisman when he captured Lift. She noted that the man seemed to have a bunch of missing rings, and it would be the type of things that Mraize would recognize as valuable and might be willing to offer in trade. Especially if he knows he can get more from his sources. Given that Raboniel can hear rhythms from invested sources, it's possible that she recognized them for what they were.
Why would it be beneficial to give the Fused metalminds?

You missed the fifth option: Taln. Confirmed by the Stormfather to be the best fighter of the Heralds, and on Team Honor's side. If only he wasn't so... well... "cata-taln-ic." If only Team Honor had a therapist who's developing techniques for treating mental illness effectively!
I think the fact that swearing Radiant oaths in the vicinity of a Herald will temporarily restore their sanity is going to be important next book.

If all Shards are infinite could a Shard potentially be split - not splintered? With Honor being split into Unity and... something else?
Maybe Dalinar will take the aspect of Honor that handles Unity and Kaladin will take the other (leadership?). He's always referred to as Child/Son of Tanavast, so that seems important. Especially after what Moash said about Kaladin in RoW ("He is a force like the storms, and you cannot kill the storms") and Kaladin's title being Stormblessed...
It'd be interesting if the first half of SA ends with the split of one Shard into two to reflect MB Era 1 ending with two Shards combining into one.

A wild theory:
Hear me out, I might be either colossally wrong or terribly right and we have been lead to believe the biggest lie Roshar is based on. And sensing the new 'testaments' coming forth in RoW, I would not be surprised if majority of the books have shrouded us in ways we couldn't contemplate. I don't think Honor is dead.
I agree. However, the Shard is definitely Splintered. I might be wrong, but its Investiture is still present with no direction, right? So that's why it's considered "dead" right now, with just little bits of Investiture getting into the Physical Realm through Stormlight, highstorms, and spren.
I also think that Notum saying "Honor is not dead so long as he lives in the hearts of men" will have later significance, especially since the honorspren got so angry as a response. Perception has an impact on Investiture, after all.
What I thought was interesting was the difference between Ambition/Devotion/Dominion's Splinterings and Honor's. Aren't the Shattering of Shards supposed to have extremely destructive effects on the planets/systems they're Invested in? Something about the Shard's power being too intense w/o a Vessel? The Evil on Threnody could be a result of Ambition's Investiture going haywire on the planet post-Splinter. The Dor is also supposed to be dangerous and volatile because it's the remnants of Devotion and Dominion's power trapped in the Cognitive Realm. So I think the difference between the events was that at the time of Honor's Splintering, Tanavast could've had most of the Shard's power in the Spiritual Realm.
My theory is that Cultivation is grooming Dalinar to take up the remnants of Honor's Shard. This might be premature, but maybe the contest of champions in SA5 will take place during a highstorm and culminate in Dalinar reaching into the Spiritual Realm and harnessing all of Honor's Investiture. Coupled with the WoB that said Splintering can be reversed I think this is possible. Additionally, the contest's location being on the top of Urithuru makes it the best place to come into contact with all that Investiture. However, I think that in Dalinar's hands the Shard would turn into Unity, much like how Ruin & Preservation became Harmony and Odium in Taravangian's hands might end up being Passion. We have that scene in OB to go by, with Dalinar opening Honor's Perpendicularity and calling himself Unity. I also think it would be a great way to close the first arc of SA.

I was thinking about what Unmade would tie to each order and came up with these so far:
- Nergaoul was trapped in a ruby so maybe tied to Dustbringers? (the Thrill is all about losing control, Dustbringer Oaths center around control; Order's polestone is a ruby)
- Moelach= Truthwatchers? (both deal with futuresight, even if it's unique to Renarin, but the difference is that Truthwatchers heal while Moelach brings Death Rattles)
- Ashertmarn= Elsecallers (Ashertmarn is all about debauchery, excess, and mindless indulgence, while Elsecallers' Divine Attributes are Wise and Careful?) I'm not exactly sure about this one though
- Re-Shepir= Lightweavers ("Her primary ability is to spawn the Midnight Essence, a type of spren that takes the form of creatures and people they see around them and try to understand humankind by mimicking them." - Coppermind) Lightweavers make illusions, Re-Shepir makes illusions, etc.
I think I remember seeing a WoB that the connection between Orders and the Unmade was more nebulous than straightforward, but I'd have to look.
2 -
Elsecallers' oaths are centered on reaching one's full potential and self-improvement, so maybe that's why they're internal, while Willshapers are focused on freedom of choice and expression for all, hence external. I can see how that would work, especially when thinking about this Coppermind quote:
QuoteWhere the Windrunners were the protectors and the Stonewards the soldiers, the Willshapers were the liberators, both freeing those who were physically captive and aiding those who espoused new and radical ideas. They tasked themselves with building and supporting societies; they aided those who resisted tyranny and oppression. They were also literal builders -- in times of peace, they would use theirs powers to aid in constructing buildings and infrastructure, as well as training those who lived there; in times of war, they would fortify towns; and after the battle was over they, like their patron Herald, would travel to teach people of crafts such as bronzeworking or sanitation.
So inner freedom to reach one's potential (Elsecallers) vs. external freedom and helping others reach theirs (Willshapers)? The fact that both Orders were considered to be the most welcoming of the ten ties them together, too.

My wild guess. Maybe Wildlight spheres? We know not only that Raboniel recognizes it as valuable but that it has value to her. Given what she is after currently Wildlight(Lifelight+Voidlight) makes a lot of sense.
Is Wildlight the working title for Lifelight + Voidlight? Because that's perfect

She can't have been the first Pulser in Scadrian history, yeah? Could be anybody.
And like I surmised, if Sixteen is from the Southern Continent, he might even be armed with technology to do the Pulsing rather than doing it himself, which would further explain both the extremely regular periodicity of his appearances and his apparent urgency in hurrying out and then dashing back into his little hut.
The idea that Sixteen is Scadrian (even Northern or Southern) works even more when you consider that the number sixteen has significance on the planet, too, since Preservation maybe modeled the sixteen metals from Ado..

OK, I read up on the Coppermind wikia about Rosharan date/time keeping and I think my Allomantic Pulser idea has more merit.
My estimate earlier had inadvertently been using an Earthlike calendar, but a Rosharan year has 500 days, divided into 10 months of 50 days each; these are ten five-day weeks at 20 hours per day, and in total is equivalent to 1.1 Earth years. And presumably, being in the Shadesmar of Roshar, the honorspren of Lasting Integrity are using this same system.
So if Sixteen has been in Lasting Integrity for 20 Rosharan months, that would be 2 years = 1,000 days = 62 "pulses" of 16 days. Not as many as I'd figured before. At 5 minutes per pulse, it'd only be a little over five hours of his time so far. Stretch it out a bit to like 7-8 minutes per time slice, and it's still pretty reasonable, he'd have been doing this for about 7-8 hours.
Each "pulse" has him come out of his little hut to "hurry" (not "stroll" or "walk") through the sculpture garden to look for something, either recording data in his notes or comparing against them to look for something, before going back in for another sixteen day time skip. He's not out very long before Shallan grabs him, which if his mission were critical, he'd probably be more upset about making sure he completed his task for this time-slice before running back into his hut.
In fact, maybe his allotted "time slice" to do what he has to do is also preset, like if he's not himself a Pulser, but has has some kind of Allomancy driven device (based on one of those Allomantic "primer cubes")? A device that can Pulse away a pre-programmed 16 days at a time, with a delay setting to give him a short window of time to do some task and return for the next Pulse (or else he's stranded for 16 days). He must have turned it on after arriving, and so can turn it off to leave Lasting Integrity when whatever he's doing is done with, but he also can't stop or adjust the timer without being at the device to do it.
We see that he "hurried" out of his hut through the statue park, and shouted something at Shallan she didn't understand when she grabbed him by the shoulder, then "fled" (ran) back into his home. Perhaps what he shouted was basically "let go of me, I have to get back in there before the Pulser device fires again!"
Are there any known Pulsers besides Marasi at this point? If SA 1-5 takes place before MB Era 2 Sixteen would be easy to spot in the books.
