A sig P210. I love those pistols. And it would definitely fit into Era 2 technology levels. Several characters have pistols just like this. Steris and Marasi's father, for one.

This is a strikining scene ideed. The Kollos sword scene is kind of wierd, the petite girl with the bloody, ten foot long sword but I still kinda like it. It is one of the most poppular images of Vin that is drawn. It is somwhat iconic. Fits with the running "Cloud's Buster Sword" joke amoung the historical martial arts communities.
