    “Fischer!” Riva stormed back into the hallway. “We’re going home." She was met with an empty corridor and scoffed. She would wait for him here, tapping her foot with fury, angry thoughts stirring in her mind.

    Riva angrily walked back to Fischer in the room where they’d all convened. “Fischer!” she hissed. “We’re going home!”

    The moment Nicolae got to his room, he screeched and punched a wall. Knuckles split, blood running down the back of Nico's fingers. Stupid Fischer, he thought. I don't need him. He started pacing around his room, but tripped on his large feet, cursing loudly. Why was he such a blazing klutz? Stars, he couldn't get a thing right. He was the scum of the universe. My choice. Mine. His eyes fell on his bed and memories of being all tangled up with Allivia assaulted him full force. How had he ever allowed that to happen? Being so cowed by her that he let her treat him like that. Never again. Never again.

    Riva spat at him, then walked back. -------- "Wendy go back to your quarters," Nico said, dropping his accent. "I want to be alone."

    "Fine," she spat. She shook her head. "If you hadn't given me my husband, I would find a way to kill you. Consider yourself lucky." ---------- Nico took Wendy's shoulders and pulled her into a deep kiss. Afterwards, he pulled away and glared at Fischer. "My choice," he said. "Mine." With that, he walked off.

    "I am what my mother made me, stars curse it, I was trained to be this way. But even I found love and you, Ivian, have no one." -------- "Wendy, this ain't yer buisness." Nico kept his gaze on Fischer's, glaring.

    "I do what I am asked! Not out of any malice!" "Oi can take care of me-self. I don' need you anymore."

    Riva's face was red. "Do you know what your guards did to me when they dragged me to the dungeons last time?"

    Riva growled deep in her chest. "What am I supposed to do, knit?"

    "I... I swear it." She shook with rage, unable to meet the king's eyes. "I can assume I will be executed if I break this oath?"

    Nicolae growled, growing angry. It was a rarity that he ever got so heated. "Stop it, Basil!" he said, calling upon his height and his friend's first name to intimidate him. "Just stop. Just 'cause you're not with me no more doesn't mean you gots to go after my current lover."

    "No! You can't- I am the Ravene-" Her words died on her lips. She was in Ivian's power. And she hated it. "Ivian, please."

    "What?!" Riva hissed. "I... What do you..." Her face screwed up with anger and she wished she could have him sent to her dungeons. "What will you do to me?" Nico stepped in front of Wendy. "She's my girlfriend, Fischer."

    "I was under the impression that Allivia was sent to me spesifically so she could experience my skills firsthand. Apparently I was wrong. That isn't my fault." "Tha's wild, tha' is," said Nico. He paused. "You think maybe she... drugged him or sumffin?"

    "Weren't we just talkin' 'bout 'ow 'e 'it 'er a' the ball? Oi was under the impression tha' they 'ated each other."

    "I..." Riva scoffed. "What's with you saying 'husband' like that? Caden is mine legally and we love each other too."

    "You... work for the Raven now?" Nico asked. Is she scary? he mouthed.

    Nico shifted nervously. "Wendy, this is Fischer. We was friends as kids." Riva sighed, walking off with the king.

    Nico blushed even deeper at the thought of being with Wendy and Fischer. No way this ends well. Riva glared at Ivian. "It's fine, Fischer, I won't be harmed by the king."

    "That doesn't mean I can't use my skills. And that's missus Praetorium."

    "She's being tortured," Riva said flatly. "As was ordered." Nico grimaced.

    "You'll be happy to know, mister Kimby," said Riva, "that Allivia Nordy is getting exactly what she deserves in our dungeons."
