As far as I am aware no metal mind has been cut or broken in the books, suggesting an incredible resiliency. If it is possible to cut a metalmind what happens to the investiture? for example, a coppermind, if it was full and then cut would the information be lost or would it be split between the two halves? I am inclined to think that it would simply be destroyed like a half shard would after sufficient trauma. what do you guys think?

My first steps into the Cosmere began with the Mistborn series. I became hooked and every book I read after that was a Sanderson book until I ran out of books to read. at the time the last one was Emporers soul. I have been buying hardcovers ever since.
