Welcome! Enjoy your time here

If you don't mind Young Adult fiction, I recommend Eon and Eona by Allison Goodman. It takes place in an asian fantasy setting, with dragons and magic, etc. There's only two books of the series and if I remember correctly there's a few romance scenes in the second book, but otherwise it's a fantastic series.

I agree that it's a bit strange that you did that, but at the same time, it is interesting to see the series by one character's POV. However, this kind of works best as a reread tactic than an initial read tactic.
I also don't blame you for skipping most of the Kal chapters, I felt like doing that a lot too.

Thank you for posting this! I really wanted to reread WoK at some point before the next book but I wasn't sure I wanted to dig around and find where I left my heavy-as-bricks copy of it!

What they aren't telling you is that some people, *glares at @Darkness Ascendant*, give cookies with metal spikes in them to newcomers. It is a Mistborn reference.
The cookies may or may not give you powers. I'm still not quite sure.
Ah I see. I haven't read Mistborn yet so the reference flew over my head. I'll still steer clear of them at the off-chance that I don't get powers and actually die instead ahaha.

My personal favorite funny scenes are when Kaladin was learning to ride a horse. I just found it funny for some reason?
I also loved when Zahel made Renarin continuously jump off the roof!

Currently I'm reading A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro. It's an interesting take on a modern day Sherlock and Watson duo. It's about Sherlock's great-great-great granddaughter and Watson's great-great-great grandson solving a murder at their boarding school. So far, it's enjoyable!

Welcome!
(also i'm told the cookies are a bit strange- might want to avoid them, but it's up to you!)

Hello and welcome to the Shard! I once accepted a cookie . . . . . . yah, it didn't turn out so well

these guys don't know what they're talking about. I for one have been inquisitive and learned all the upsides of cookies

They make you happy

- They are tasty
- High source of vitamins and minerals
- Known to summon cute pets
- When dunked in milk, give you visions of heaven
- Can help you make friends
See, helpful
And as a plus, you have a chance of gaining powers
i have no idea which one of you to believe but I'll skip on the cookies due to my dislike of sweets instead of taking a side on this strange cookie debate

Have fun!
I've heard about not eating the cookies on a different Introductory post so I'll be wary when I'm offered one haha
(in which I have already been offered two cookies on this post oh no}1 -
I'm so excited! So far, this is my favorite book cover of the series.

Hey, nice to meet you all of you!
I'm Yas (not to be confused with the internet slang yaaas for 'yes'. I'm just a college student who got pulled into the cosmere fandom in January. I've read The Way of Kings and started Words of Radiance. I plan to read Elantris next!
I don't exactly know what else to say. Um.. Interesting facts about me? I'm an artist (I plan to upload Stormlight Archive fanart sometime in the following week), I can speak Japanese at a four year old's level, I'm a major booknerd.. Trying to write my own story...? That's all I've got folks.
Anyway, although I'm new to this whole forum/cosmere/everything Brandon Sanderson related, I hope to get along with you all! Thanks for reading

Crazy Theory about Brandon

It's fun to think about. However, I think.. Legally (don't quote me on this because I've only seen a post by a different author a long time ago) he can't do much of browsing fan-made theories/fanfiction/etc due to plagiarism issues? Like he can't just steal ideas made from fans or something. (He probably wouldn't but it's just a precaution for authors I suppose?)
Also it'd be cool for him to pop in and pretend he's just a fan and go along with all of these theories!
