  1. Hello and welcome! I'm so glad to meet you! I'm a newbie too, so hopefully someone more experienced will come in and answer your Post-Post Script. Which Sanderson novel/novella/short story do you enjoy the most?
  2. Way to go, @The One Who Connects! I'll definitely have to go back over the Ars Arcanum when I arrive home today.
  3. Hello! Welcome to 17th Shard! If you've just finished WoR, I highly recommend Warbreaker to be your next novel. Mistborn was my first series, so I am biased towards it, but Warbreaker gives you a little more context to what happens at the end of Words of Radiance. You can also find Warbreaker in its entirety on Brandon's website.
  4. These are all wonderful answers! I didn't know that Yolish magic was similar to lightweaving. I must have passed that over in the Ars Arcanum. I bet if Hoid did have a spren, the banter would be fantastic. Thank you so much for your answers!
  5. I'm so sorry if this topic has been posted on before, I'm new here. When my friend and I were discussing what three magic systems we've seen Hoid using before, Stormlight came up as a possible one. For Hoid to be able to use Stormlight, would he need a spren? Or are spren reserved for the Knights Radiant? And if Hoid does have a spren (or ends up obtaining one later on), would it worldhop with him?
  6. Welcome! I'm glad to meet someone else who has started with Mistborn, my starting point as well! Who is your favorite person in the Cosmere?
  7. @DarkJester, sorry for the late response! Busy weekend. So far I've read all of Brandon's published works, aside from novels or novellas that are in electronic form. I know for certain I haven't read the Legion books, sadly. I'm currently re-reading the Mistborn series for the third time because I figured it would be good to read that plus Secret History to really gain perspective on Scadrial and its place in the Cosmere. It's a pleasure to meet you!
  8. Hello! After a few weeks of browsing the theories on this site, I've decided to join in! Sanderson is my very favorite author and I am so glad that this place exists. I look forward to Oathbringer's release and the many, many excited discussions that will follow.
