How about, it's a minor Shardworld, but has giant sea creatures that produce a type of fat that makes excellent fuel for whatever technologies the Worldhoppers use? And there's a legend about there being a mysterious captain, who steers a small, masterfully crafted sailboat, but when people actually meet him, it's Hoid loudly singing sea shanties on a ramshackle raft with the stolen banner of House Kholin propped up as the sail.

Huh. Well then. That's amazingly awesome.

Like the title says, any awesome idea that you hope will be in the Cosmere. The one that inspired me to create this thread is there being a Shardspear, and Kaladin wielding one.

I asked how he came up with the abilities and the metals associated with them. He said at first, the Allomantic abilities were associated with abilities an assassin would have, and he slowly changed them to suit a heist crew, with there being an ability for the tough guy, the charismatic guy, the thief, and so on. For the metals, he wanted to use metals that had alloys, since it is called Allomancy, and he also wanted to use metals that made sense to give certain kinds of abilities. Then, (Mistborn Era 2 and Secret History Spoilers Incoming)

I asked Sanderson if the Cognitive Realm changed based on what people considered to be mystical, such as being composed of mists or spheres, and he said that the Cognitive Realm was indeed related to people's perception.

Intents aren't based on the Vessel, they're based on the Shard itself. While at first, one might be more free with the power, eventually, they'll be consumed by it, using it only as its Intent allows them to. Harmony isn't his true Intent, it's what he's called. Much like Ruin didn't actually have the Intent of Deepness, his true Intents are Ruin and Preservation, and they would be the same with any Vessel. Basically, Intents are a thing of the Shards, not the Vessels

For the first time in many moons, being healthy, not traveling, and at home, I took a nap.

Since there will be a Mistborn trilogy set in Scadrial's far future, I had the idea that perhaps, eventually, they will discover how to alter one's DNA to code for Allomancy and Feruchemy. Perhaps there will be a breed of super-soldiers born with the abilities of Full Feruchemists and Mistborn, but having received those abilities through a method less messy than Hemalurgy. I don't know Brandon's stances on genetic modification, so I can't be sure that this will happen, but it is something I think is possible.

Well, one can see blue lines with iron, so there's also Ironsight, which accomplishes the same as Steelsight. Also, is the schedule up yet? I keep checking the site and can't find it.
-
What's there to know? Burn steel or iron, blue lines appear, which point to sources of metal. Or is the question how exactly that works?

Eight [Sorry for the double post]

Well, with the full length novels, there's a romance every time. Way Of Kings, Mistborn, Elantris, Warbreaker

Brunch is on a different part of the site. Here: http://www.ad-astra.org/guest-of-honour-brunch/ As for your offer @Yata, I'll take you up on that.

There's always a romance. ALWAYS.
-
So did I. See you there, Avair. Heh, that rhymed.

Man, that was a good show. This may be off topic, but Kristen Schaal, the actress who voices Mabel, was in another show, The Last Man on Earth, where her character and her husband were trying to resuscitate a fish, and they did the exact same thing they did with Mermando.

Mine is when someone says something super intimidating or insulting to the main character, and they reply with, "Nice to meet you too."

He'll be there all three days.
